Annette Renee Tellefson (née Peterson) died peacefully at her Stone Lake home in Manitowish Waters, WI on Sunday, August 11, 2019. She is survived by her two daughters, Renee (Ted) Matousek and DeEtte (Richard) Theisen; and her two grandchildren, Jon (Hannah) Theisen and Grace (Kyle) Schultz. Annette was preceded in death by her parents Merlin (Puggy) Peterson and Evelyn Peterson.
Annette was born in Hillsboro, WI on September 29, 1929. She studied elementary education at the University of Wisconsin - Platteville and was an early elementary school teacher until her retirement from North Lakeland Elementary School in 1988. She was a long-time resident of Manitowish Waters, WI, and a proud ambassador for her town, serving on boards of directors for the Chamber of Commerce and the Frank B. Koller Memorial Library. She welcomed many guests to her resort in Manitowish Waters until its closing in 2017.
Annette’s family will miss her quick sense of humor, her fresh walleye breakfasts she caught herself, and her love of Wisconsin sports teams.
The family will be celebrating her life privately. Memorials can be made to the Frank B Koller library in her name.
