Bernice B. Mattke

Bernice B. Mattke, age 85 of Minocqua, WI went to the Lord on Thursday, January 8th at the Seasons of Life Hospice House in Woodruff, WI. Bernice was born on April 3, 1929 in Woodruff, WI the daughter of Leonard and Margaret Haling. She worked for many years at Simpsons Electric in Lac du Flambeau, WI. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting, quilting and bingo. She touched many hearts with her kindness and giving of her knit socks, crochet towels, many lap quilts which she donated to the elderly and to the VA hospital in Iron Mountain, MI and her many beautiful bouquets of flowers from her garden. She was a very giving, loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend.
Bernice is survived by two daughters; Kathleen (Dennis) Lueth and Linda (Jason) Hinz and Daughter-in-law, Lila Mattke and by 3 Grandchildren; Rod (Megan) Rudisill, Edward (Chandra) Lueth and Jason (Nichole) Mattke and by five Great Grandchildren; Kora, Kayla, Ana Rudisill and Margaret and Eleanor Lueth. Further survived by two Brothers; Herb (Carol) Haling and Burt (Nancy) Haling and two Sisters: Lillian (Paul) Fuhrman and Myrtle Ludgatis and by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Bernice was preceded in death by one Son, Marvin Mattke and one Sister, Beulah Bland and Six Brothers; Dewey, Gordon, Leonard, Arnold, Raymond and Larry Haling.
Celebration of Life Services will be held on Thursday, January 15th at 2:00 PM at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff, WI with visitation from 1:00 PM till time of service. Burial will be on Friday, January 16th at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Arbor Vitae, WI.
