Obituary for Cheryl Lynn Fry

Cheryl Lynn Fry, age 71, Earned her wings on June 27, 2017 at Howard Young Medical Center, Woodruff, WI while vacationing in the Minocqua area. She was born in Muscoda, WI on May 7, 1946. When she was born she was so tiny that they put her in a shoebox and set her next to the stove to keep her warm. That was the start of her amazing life.

She graduated from Richland Center High School in 1964. While in high school she started dating the love of her life. On November 5, 1966, she married Philip Fry. They spent almost 51 wonderful years together. They traveled to many states and to Europe. One of her favorite trips was to Hawaii for their 45th wedding anniversary.

Cheryl worked for Winnebago County as a Paralegal/Secretary for over 25 years. During her employment she made many lifelong friends.

One of Cheryl’s passions was quilting. She was very accomplished, and made many beautiful quilts, which she enjoyed giving as gifts to family and friends. Most of the time it was to celebrate special occasions.

She loved her family and had many special friends. She was so thrilled to have her life blessed 20 months ago with her great-grandson, Jason.

She is survived by her husband, Philip; her Son; Kevin (Tana) Fry and Grandchildren; Joshua (Stormie) Fry and Alyshia Fry and Great Grandson, Jason Fry.
She is further survived by her Mother; Delores Hardy and her Siblings; Mitch (Debra) Hardy, Jill (Ted) Whiteaker and Darcy Hardy and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father; Leslie Hardy and Sister, Deanna Hardy.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff at DaVita Dialysis Center and Howard Young Medical Center for the compassionate care shown to her.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
