Daniel Joseph Biwan, age 51 of Woodruff, WI died of natural causes on Monday, December 2, 2013 at his residence. Dan was born October 10, 1962 in the Village of Kohler, WI the son of Joseph and Diane (nee DeBack) Biwan. He attended Kohler Grade and High School graduating in 1981 and then attended the University of Notre Dame graduating Magna Cum Laude with a BBA degree in 1985. He received his CPA license in 1986. After working for several accounting firms, including his sister’s, Biwan & Biwan, SC in Sheboygan, he bought a CPA firm in Minocqua in 2001. Dan loved hanging out, playing cards and fishing with his family and friends. He was a member of Team Retreat and past member of the Chamber of Commerce and was a sponsor for many youth activities; especially the Northwoods Youth Deer Hunt Challenge and Youth Fishing Programs. Dan was an avid Notre Dame fan and was very vocal about it. He liked all sports; loved fishing, reading and watching sporting events and Fox News on TV. Dan is survived by his parents, Joe and Di Biwan of Manitowish Waters, WI; and 1 brother: Tom (Patty) Biwan of LaGrange, IL and 2 sisters: Carla Biwan (DuWayne) Hameister of Sheboygan, WI and Martha Jan (Alan) Albee of St. Germain, WI and 2 nieces; Ashley Ann Albee and Ella Marie Biwan and 4 nephews; Joseph Raymond and Michael James Hameister, James Joseph Albee and Jack Thomas Biwan. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 7th at 2:00 PM at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff, WI with a visitation from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Northwoods Youth Deer Hunt Challenge, PO Box 790, Minocqua, WI 54548 or the Vilas County Humane Society, PO Box 904, Eagle River, WI 54521 or to the family.
