God's one and only "trippy, dippy, hippy gangster", David Schuette, was called to peace on January 13th. He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Hunter, and is survived by his mother Janice, his brother Michael, and numerous uncles and cousins. All who knew him well knew his kindness, his love for life, and his creativity. He was proud of his membership in the Knights of Colombus, and was the first volunteer in line to ring bells at Christmas or serve pancake breakfasts. A great outdoorsman, there was hardly a day where he didn't enjoy the outdoors and create something new from it. He wrote poems constantly and loved to rap, so let's let him tell you who he was:
Bikin', Skiin', and Snowshoein',
These are the things that I have been doin'.
Having fun underneath the frozen sun,
That's how real hippies get it done.
Life's a trip, nothing but having fun.
Is this the end or have I just begun?
Time to go, I will be going slow,
Watching the sun break through the snow.
Time to get moving, steady groovin',
On my way all I do is play play and pray pray
For tomorrow to be as good as today.
Deep down I got love for everybody.
Odd body. Broken body.
New born babies' bodies.
Strong body.
Weak body with strong brain.
The body that's totally insane.
All the bodies in that plane.
I can't complain about my body,
Got what I got.
Got a lot of love for every body.
Love ya buddy,
This is for everybody.
The world will be less colorful with David gone, and he will be greatly missed. His family sincerely thanks all who showed him kindness.
