David Lee Johnston

September 11, 1929 — December 5, 2014

David Lee Johnston, age 85 of Lake Tomahawk, WI died on Friday, December 5th at Seasons of Life Hospice House in Woodruff, WI. David was born on September 11, 1929 in Wausau, WI the son of Chester and Georgia (nee Cramer) Johnston. He graduated from Wausau Schools. His great interest was music and he was a member of the Top Hatters Jazz Band. He also played with the Sid Kyler Band. David married the love of his life, Jacquelyn Larson in 1950. He served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. David attended the University of Wisconsin and graduated in 1956. He was employed as a mechanical engineer in the papermill industry and Moody Bible Institute. He and Jackie retired to Lake Tomahawk; enjoying many years of travel in the United States and volunteering at the Senior Center and helped with tax preparation.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jacquelyn and was preceded in death by his parents and his Brother, Dean.
Upon his wishes cremation took place and no services will be held.
