Edward C. Fox, D.M.D., M.S.

Fox, Edward C., D.M.D., M.S., 85 a devout Catholic and true gentleman was fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Dr. Fox began his eternal life on Tuesday July 21, 2020. Beloved and devoted husband of the late Delores A. Fox; the proud father of Ted (Mona) of Weston, WI.; Dr. Julie of
Lac du Flambeau. WI.; and Angie of Rhinelander, WI.; caring grandfather of three, Olivia, Jacob and Michael. Born February 16, 1935 in Fond du Lac, WI., Dr. Fox was the son of the late Edward and Mabel Gilman Fox. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, he attended Marquette University School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Dr. Fox continued his education and received his Master of Science Degree in Orthodontics from Washington University School of Dentistry. Dr. Fox had a private Orthodontic practice in Indiana for 32 years. Dr. Fox sat on many boards locally and statewide. He was the Treasurer for the Indiana Dental Association for 15 years, and ultimately served as the Vice President and President of the Association. He was elected to be a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, which is one of the highest honors in Dentistry. In Dr. Fox’s free time, he was an avid reader of dental journals and nonfiction books. He had a love for aviation and enjoyed flying his private Piper Saratoga Airplane. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family.

Todd O. RN, Rhinelander, WI., Emily H. RN, Minocqua, WI., Bud S. CNA, Tomahawk, WI. All of their kindness, compassion and direction Edward received during these difficult times were grately appreciated by the Fox Family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Barrow Neurological Institute to support Dr. Fife’s Otoneurology Program for research on Vestibular Disorders including Meniere’s disease. Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday August 1, 2020 from 9am-10am, with the Mass of the Resurrection beginning at 10am.

Due to Covid, a mask is required and social distancing will be in place.
Seating: You will be seated by ushers every third pew and six feet apart from non-household members. Those from the same household need no separation when seated. We will start seating in the front of the church and work to the back of the church and by sections. For dismissal, you will be ushered out starting in the back of the church working towards the front and again by sections.

Music: You will notice that all hymnals, papers have been removed. We will have a cantor at Mass for music.
The following are changes to shorten the Mass to help limit exposure time:
• We will continue to NOT hold hands during The Lord's Prayer.
• We will not be doing the "Sign of Peace".
• The gifts will not be brought forward.
• We will recite the Mass parts instead of singing them.
• Only the Priest will receive Communion.

There will not be a celebration of life lunch or a gathering at the house afterwards to protect the health and wellbeing for all attending the service.
