Eugene Don Tachick

Eugene “Donald” Tachick, age 88 of Lac du Flambeau, WI died on Wednesday, March 29th at his residence. Don was born on July 27, 1928 in Pound, WI the son of Henry and Martha (nee Ermis) Tachick. He married the love of his life, Irene Kowalski on June 4, 1955.

Don was very active; he was a farmer, did mobile butchering, owned and operated Ace Hardware Store and retired after 20 years of service as a Foreman with the Marinette County Parks. He was a member of the Lac du Flambeau Lions Club and Eaglebrook Church.

Don loved fishing, hunting, gardening and cooking. His best days were fishing with Mike and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by 2 Daughters: Correen (Perry) Oleck and Michelle (Mike) Olson and by his Grandchildren: Holly Troiani, Lindsey Oleck, Mason and Brady Olson and by Great Grandchild; Baby Troiani. He is further survived by his Siblings: Clifford (Sandra) Korpi, Wayne (Bonnie) Korpi and Jerry (Karen) Korpi and by Sister-in-law; Edna Jashinsky and by special friend, Audrey Zoromski, nieces, nephews, numerous friends and his little dog, Emmy.

Don was preceded in death by his wife, Irene and his Father; Henry Tachick, his Mother; Martha Korpi, his Step-Father; Victor Korpi and his Brothers; Sherman Korpi and Elery Tachick.

Memorial Service for Don will be held on Saturday, April 8th at 12:00 Noon at Eaglebrook Church, 1025 Margaret Street, Woodruff, WI 54568 with a Memorial Gathering from 11:00 AM till time of service at the church.
