Hazel Ann (Fuerst) Schulz (nee Draeger)
Peacefully entered eternal life on May 24, 2017 at the age of 79. Beloved wife of Robert Schulz, Sr. of Minocqua. Loving mother to Hope (Phillip) Oliva of Fox Point and Howard (Jamie) Fuerst of Neenah; Step-mother to Robert (Cyndy) Schulz, Jr. of New London, Cindy (Mark) Von Eschen of Savage, MN and Denise Heiser of Oshkosh. Dear sister to Earl (Mary) Draeger of Aniwa and Larry (Sharon) Draeger of Antigo; Sister-in law to William (Marge) Schulz of Hortonville, Reuben (Myrna) Knapp of New London, Thomas Fuerst of Appleton and Larry Awve of Deming, NM. Further survived by 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents, Paul and Laura Draeger; first husband, Harlan Fuerst; niece, Kara Fuerst Johnson; grandson, Michael Oliva; and sisters-in-law, Lois Fuerst and Bonnie Awve.
Hazel was a teacher in Marion, Hortonville, New London and Fremont schools for many years. Visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Minocqua on Wednesday, May 31 at 10 am until the time of service at 12 pm. Private interment at Floral Hill Cemetery in New London. Many thanks to the caregivers and nurses at Seasons of Life Hospice Home for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations to the church or the American Diabetes Association are appreciated.
