Janet Eileen Jauch

October 15, 1923 — September 25, 2014

Janet E. Jauch, lovingly known as Gram Jan, completed her circle of life on Thursday, September 25, 2014, just shy of her 91st birthday. Born October 15, 1923, the daughter of Allan and Kathryn (Creedon) Myers, Jan spent her early life and schooling in Glen Ellyn, IL. She later attended the University of Iowa, majoring in drama. On January 15, 1944, she married Robert Nathan Jauch. They resided in Wheaton, IL until moving to Lac du Flambeau in 1964.

Jan was secretary at the Lac du Flambeau School for 25 years. She also worked at Yeschek’s Tower for many years. Her passion for life was only exceeded by her love of the area, her pride of living in Lac du Flambeau surrounded by her friends, her robust and hearty laughter, and her love of Disney World. She enjoyed reading, writing poetry, watching tennis, traveling, and visiting with her family and friends.

Special members of her family include her son, Robert A. (Cecelia) of Poplar, WI; her granddaughters, Jessica (Jerry) Moyer of Otsego, MN, Brandy (Jeff) Muellner of Glen Ellyn, IL, and Michelle (Ken) Kolar of Aurora, IL; her grandson, Christopher Jauch of Madison, WI; and her great grandsons, Andrew, Jake, Jesse, Zak, Greg, and Joey. She is also survived by many other family members and her neighbors, and friends. She will be missed by very special friends, Cappy Landin, Flora LaBelle, Beth Giles and their families.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, twin brothers, William and Charles Myers, her sisters, Lucille (Bob) Wagner and Shirley Myers, her daughter, Sue (Charlie) Allen and a very special aunt, Sylvia Ludeke.

The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at the Seasons of Life Hospice Home for their love and comfort these past few months. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Nimsgern Funeral & Cremation Services. Memorials can be made to the Seasons of Life Hospice Ministry in Woodruff, WI.
