Jean D. Olthoff, age 87 of Minocqua, WI died on Saturday, December 29th at Avanti Health and Rehab in Minocqua, WI with her family by her side. Jean was born on October 9, 1931 in Braham, Minnesota the daughter of Theodore and Elvera (nee Westin) Mart. Jean married Lester Olthoff on June 30, 1951.

For over 20 years Jean did private cleaning for several families in the Lakeland area, and then worked at HYMC in the Laundry Department until her retirement.

Jean was an avid Bingo player, she loved and enjoyed her outings once, twice a week (depending if they won) with her special friend Muriel Roper. Jean also loved to play cards. Not one family gathering went without the cribbage board having to come out; “Buck a game” or “Penny a point.” Homemade soups, cheese bread and her “secret beer batter” were her specialties. As when Jean whipped up a batch of something she made them in quantities to share with family and friends. Our Mother will be greatly missed!
