Joann Lucille Mccurdie

Joann Lucille McCurdie, 80, Menasha, formerly Minocqua, passed away after a long battle with dementia on Thursday, March 19th, 2020. She was born in Kiel, Wisconsin on June 1, 1939 to the late Frank and Agatha Muehlbauer. She was a long time resident of the Northwoods. She was a 1961 graduate of Marian college. On May 29th, 1965, she married William J. McCurdie. Together they celebrated 35 years of marriage before his passing in 2001. Joann worked as a Medical Laboratory Technician until retirement. Joann enjoyed gardening, travel, reading, puzzles and spending time with family. She also enjoyed volunteering her time for community service.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Mark (Terri) McCurdie, and their children, Ian and Breanna McCurdie; Colleen Mueller and her son Brad Mueller (fiancé Emily); sister Kathy Omernick,; sister-in-law Irene (Ken) Synder; brother-in-law Robert Smolarek, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Joann is preceded in death by husband William; sister Marilyn.

Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, May 15th at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel from 10:00 am till 11:00 am with a Memorial Service at 11:00 am
