John Paul Weiss

John P. Weiss, age 61 of Minocqua, WI died peacefully after a short battle with cancer on Monday, November 7th at his residence on Blue Lake. John was born on March 27, 1955 in Milwaukee, WI the son of Richard and Dorothy (nee Lewandowski) Weiss. John worked for Quad Graphics from 1977 to 2012 and retired to the Northwoods. He loved the outdoors, kayaking, fishing and hunting, especially red squirrels. But most of all he loved spending time with his family on his cocktail cruises.

He is survived by his wife, Barb and his Mother, Dorothy C. Weiss and by 3 Brothers: Jim Weiss, Rob (Diane) Weiss and Bill (Bonnie) Weiss and by 3 Sisters: Terry Ann (the late David) Lesnik, Janet (Don) Pipal and Mary (Jeff) Hovarka and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and by his faithful companions; Tank, Jack and Cooper. John was preceded in death by his Father, Richard J. Weiss and his beer drinking buddy, Yukon.

Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, November 12th from 4:00 to 5:00 PM at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff, WI followed by a Memorial Service at 5:00 PM.
