John Russell Jeschke

John Russell Jeschke died June 22, 2020 at the age of 68. He was born September 25, 1951 in West Allis Wisconsin where he attended school in the West Allis and New Berlin areas until his family moved to Rhinelander. He attended his senior year and graduated with the class of 1969. He married Joyce in 1973 and were blessed with two wonderful children and five grandchildren. He worked at the Rhinelander NAPA store with his dad and the Claflin family until he joined his dad in partnership of the Minocqua Napa store. Following his dad‘s retirement, he and his brother, Jim, became partners in ownership of the Minocqua and Rhinelander NAPA stores. John enjoyed bowling, golfing, and playing horseshoes with his many friends in Minocqua. Arizona became his go-to place during the winter to extend the golf season where he also started playing lawn bowling.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce, his mother Clare Jeschke of Arizona, son Dan (Renea) Jeschke of Woodruff and daughter Diane (Ray) Christenson of Woodruff, grandchildren Ethan, Dylan, and Kendra Jeschke and Lillyahna and Clara Christenson, his sisters Judi (Steve) Hunter of Minocqua and Kathy (Chris) Pietsch of Kronenwetter, and brother Jim (JoJean)Jeschke of Woodruff. John was preceded in death by his father Russell Jeschke.

Funeral Services for John will be held on Friday, July 3rd with visitation at 10:00 am followed by Memorial Service at 11:00 am at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel, 1025 Margaret Street, Woodruff, WI. A Celebration of John's Life will be held at a later date.
