Judith M. Best

Judith Mary Best, age 74 of St. Germain, WI died on Monday, November 16th at the Seasons of Life Hospice House in Woodruff, WI. Judy was born on November 16, 1941 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Frank and Lorraine (nee Jankowski) Best. She graduated from Northern Michigan University with her Master’s Degree.

Judy and her Husband, Boyd owned and operated Idle Hours Resort in St. Germain, WI. She was very active in promoting tourism; was past president of St. Germain Chamber of Commerce, Past President of Vilas County Chamber of Commerce, and former director of Wisconsin Inn Keeper’s Association and former member of Governor’s Tourism Council.

She is survived by her Husband, Boyd Best of St. Germain, WI and by 2 Sons: Kenneth (Kris) Best of Fox Point, WI; Thomas Best of St. Germain, WI and 1 Daughter: Sally Best of St. Germain, WI and by 2 Grandchildren: Nicolas and Adam Best and by her Siblings: Barbara Mason of Soldiers Grove, WI; James (Kathy) Stelzel of Marquette, MI and Gary (Maureen) Stelzel of Norcross, GA and by nieces, nephews and many friends.

Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, November 20th at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodruff, WI.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hope Lodge in Marshfield or Seasons of Life Hospice House.
