Julianna Valliere

June 28, 1953 — October 2, 2014

Julianna “Mac” Valliere (Johnson), age 61 of Lac du Flambeau, WI; passed away on Thursday, October 2nd in Lac du Flambeau surrounded by her family and friends. She was born June 28, 1953 in Bessemer, MI. She grew up in Coos Bay, Oregon where she excelled in school and later was an Activist in the American Indian Movement. She moved back to Lac du Flambeau in 1976.
Julie had many opportunities to serve the LDF tribe in many capacities. Her passion was helping others, which she did until she left us. She enjoyed painting, playing horseshoes, reading and spending time with her family.
Julie is survived by her Husband, James Valliere; her Children; Jamie (Stuart) Valliere-Burgess and Theresa (Curtis) Valliere and her Siblings: Donald (Jan), Annie, James Jr., Janice, Pauletta, Marilyn, Cynthia (Jeff), John (Sue), Shelly, Patrick (Cassandra) and Greg (Krista) and her six Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; James and Viola Johnson and her Brothers, William and Jerrold.
Visitation will start on Saturday, October 4th at 4:00 PM at the Multi-Purpose Building in Lac du Flambeau followed by Funeral Services on Sunday, October 5th in the morning with burial to follow at Memorial Cemetery.
