Kenneth Eales, 78 of Manitowish Waters, WI, passed away Tuesday April 9, 2013 at the Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff. He was born March 4, 1935 in Waukesha to Martha (Skebba) and Lloyd Eales, and was raised and lived most of his life in Pewaukee. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Jean Eales. He is also survived by his children Louis Goralski, Linda (Martin) Lurvey, Charles Goralski, and Lorna Goralski, and granddaughter, Brenda Lurvey. Ken is also survived by his brother, Robert (Cathy) Eales, and sister Karene Eales, along with sister-in-law Nancy (Lamar) Senn, and many nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Sharon Wengatz, and his brother, Walter Eales. Ken started his professional working career as a deputy sheriff for Waukesha County, WI, after having served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was then appointed to Federal Judge Robert H. Warren’s district court. He served Judge Warren for 20 years as his Clerk of Court and faithful friend. He earned the respect and cooperation from all conducting business in Judge Warren’s court. Ken was known around the courthouse to run a very tight ship. In Pewaukee, Ken owned and ran a small business, and served seven years (1971-1977) on the Pewaukee School Board, ending up as President of the Board. After he retired and moved to Manitowish Waters, Ken was elected and served as Municipal Judge for the town of Manitowish Waters. Ken also served the town as Airport Manager for 14 years. Ken loved living in the north woods and freely shared both his time and talents with the community of Manitowish Waters. He was a member of the Manitowish Waters Lions club and voted Citizen of Year 2007/2008 by the Lioness. He was especially dedicated to the Manitowish Waters Community Presbyterian Church, serving in many positions. For many years, he was known as Mr. Fleazar for tirelessly working the flea market / bazaar fund raiser. If you knew Ken at this time, you probably were recruited to work at Fleazar. A memorial service will be held on May 11, 2013 at the Manitowish Waters Community Presbyterian Church on Hwy 51, Manitowish Waters. Visitation will start at 10:00 am and continue until the time of the service at 11:00 am.
