Kenneth N. Grande (1954 - 2020)
Ken, a longtime resident of Woodruff, passed away peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with lung cancer on Sunday, May 31st, 2020.
He enjoyed bowling, golfing, growing tomatoes, feeding the chipmunks in his daughter’s yard and was always up for a good movie or an episode of Judge Judy!
Ken was raised by two very loving Norwegian parents, Clara and Henry Grande and grew up in Illinois with his brothers and sisters Bob (Janet), Karen, Nancy (Dan) and Bill (Amy).
Ken was the father to 5 unique children; daughter Danielle (Bill), Matt (Maria), Justin, Lacey (Tim) and Ben (Cassandra),thegrandfather to 15 incredible grandchildren; Allison, Katelin, Connor, Austin, Brylie, Andrew, Kate, Matt Jr., Cole, Layla, Carter, Orion, Devontye, Liana and Natalie and the great-grandfather of 3 beautiful great-grandchildren; Brynnlee, Jaxson and Kylianna. He further survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ken was interned during a private graveside service at Forest Garden Cemetery next to his grandchildren Andrew and Allison.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
