Maxine E Hendrickson

Maxine Hendrickson passed away at her senior apartment at Our Home K-Care in Lac du Flambeau, WI on June 27, 2012 at the age of 98. She was born in Marion, Wisconsin on February 26, 1914 to August and Luella (Schultz) Hartwig. Maxine was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin school of Nursing. She married Alvin O. Hendrickson on October 30, 1937 in Madison, WI. They lived in Wausau, WI for 24 years where Dr. A.O. Hendrickson was an Eye-Ear-Nose and Throat physician. They moved to Fence Lake in Lac du Flambeau in 1970. She was preceded in death by her husband, Al and her daughter, Dr. Susan Hendrickson Chandler. Survivors include her son, Thomas A. Hendrickson of DeWitt, MI; her granddaughter, Dr. Jennifer Chandler of Mountain View, CA and her precious great granddaughter, Hannah and great grandson, Zack; her grandson, John (Renee) Chandler of Auburn, WA and great grandsons, Tommy and Tyler. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, particularly close were Sally, Darwin, Mary Ellen, Judy and Mark. Maxine loved the Northwoods and the nature God created. She marveled at the tall pines, sparkling water and eagles flying overhead from her home on Fence Lake for the last 40 years. This remarkable lady had many friends, especially those from the “Happy Hookers” sewing club and her caring companions at the K-Care senior apartments. Maxine is now at rest, in God’s hands, looking down and thanking us for our love, our friendship and providing her with such at enriching life of 98 years. Gathering of Friends will be held at Our Home K-Care, 12440 Warpath Lane, Lac du Flambeau, WI on Saturday, July 7th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Maxine’s name may be given to donor’s choice.
