Naaman C. Bechtolt

Naaman C. Bechtolt, age 81 of Lake Tomahawk, WI died on Tuesday, July 23, 2103 at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, WI. Naaman was born on March 24, 1932 in Monroe, Wisconsin the son of Clarke and Marie (nee Wolter) Bechtolt. Naaman served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War as Radio Operator on the group command ship-USS Mt. Olympus. He work for the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel as a Branch Manager in Watertown, Beloit and Madison from 1959 till 1976 when he was promoted to Supervisor in Madison till 1989 when he retired and moved to Hodstradt Lake in Lake Tomahawk, WI. He was an active member of the American Legion in Lake Tomahawk, serving as commander for 2 years; he enjoyed playing pool with his fellow legion members. Naaman enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing and especially spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Frances (nee Cotherman) Bechtolt of Lake Tomahawk, WI and Daughter, Kimberly Reed of Franklin, WI and Granddaughter, Jessica (Mark) Boccia of Mokena, IL and Great Grandson, Reed. Further survived by his Sister, LaVonne Boeck and Brother, Nathan Bechtolt both of Monroe, WI and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and Son-in-law, Brian Reed. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 26th at 11:30 AM at United Church of the Pines in Minocqua, WI with a visitation from 10:00 AM till time of service.
