Nancy Louise Pallin (nee Bacon) beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt died peacefully on July 5, 2016 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her son Don Reid Pallin and her parents.

Born on August 20, 1936 in Ishpeming, Michigan to the late Violet Bacon Robare and Walter Bacon who died in WWII. Upon her Mother’s remarriage she was raised by her Mother and Stepfather Laurence Robare. She married Donald Pallin on October 19, 1961 and they took residence in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was a stay-at-home Mom dedicated to raising her children and participating in their schooling and other activities. An interesting life also included living in Memphis, Tennessee and Greenville, Mississippi during her husband’s business career. She traveled the world assisting her husband in developing international contacts in the cotton business. She was an active member of the Memphis Cotton Wives organization and served as its President in 1975 and 1976.

Upon her husband’s retirement, they resettled to Oneida County, Wisconsin where they built a home in the forest and enjoyed almost 20 years of living in the Northwoods. She particularly enjoyed visits of family in her home where her they could enjoy all that nature had to offer.

She was an active member of the United Methodist Church of the Pines in Minocqua, Wisconsin including roles in Ruth Circle, Church Rummage Sales as well as involvement in many other Church activities. On many occasions her fellow parishioners enjoyed her culinary and baking skills.

Nancy had a lively and loving spirit and she enjoyed life to the fullest by surrounding herself with family, friends, music and laughter. She enjoyed golfing at Pinewood Country Club where she also had many friends.

She is survived by her husband Don, her daughter Stephanie, son Robert, grandchildren Olivia and Sean and sisters Melanie and Laurel. She will be sorely missed as she was the focal point of her family’s life.

A Memorial Service celebrating Nancy’s life will be held at the United Methodist Church of the Pines on August 20, 2016 at 11:00am with visitation beginning at 10:00am. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, gifts to the Endowment Fund of the Church would be most appreciated.
