Obituary for Roy W. Bordeau Sr.

Roy William Bordeau Sr. age 83 of Minocqua, WI died on Friday, March 7th at Avanti Health and Rehab in Minocqua, WI. Roy was born on December 25, 1930 in White Lake, Wisconsin the son of Leo and Veronica (nee Lehman) Bordeau. Roy married Dorothy nee Greiler on July 9, 1949 in Milwaukee, WI and worked for Wisconsin Electric for many years and also owned and operated Bordeau Electric. Roy loved the Northwoods andenjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all Roy adored all of his grandchildren and spending time with his family and friends. Roy is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy and their children: Roy Jr., John (Beverly), Annie, Susan Malloy, Patty (Scott) Kemmerling, Leo (Patty Campbell), Mary (Bob) Hill, Carol Ewing, Marcie (David) Haughn and the Hebert family. Further survived by 15 Grandchildren: Linda (Tom), David (Sara), Laura (Ken), Catherine (Alex), Christopher, Shannon (Ravi), Leah (Dave), Megan (Neil), James (Christina), Amber (Jay), Stephanie (Jon), John Jr. (Anne), Jesse (Becky), Brian and Matthew and by 11 Great Grandchildren: Tommy, Jackson, Emrys, Rachel, Quentin, Keira, William, Jay, Liam, Jennifer and John III and by other relatives and friends. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Mother in law, Margaret Greiler and by his Brother, Robert and Sister, Sally Steffens. Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, March 16th from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Pier-Willow with a Memorial Service starting at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated. Family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Avanti Health and Rehab for their care of Roy.
