Virgean Rose Dallman, age 87, of Minocqua, WI passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Virgean was born in Marshfield, WI on March 6, 1931 to the late Roman and Rosalie (Dahlke) Gorman.
Virgean is survived by her four children, Steve (Mary) Dallman of Merrill, WI, Sue (Rick) Zimmerman of Oregon, WI, Debbie (Gary) Mead of Minocqua, WI, and Cherie (Dave) Zelinger of Shawano, WI; grandchildren, Daniel (Bethany) Mead of Appleton, WI, Katie (Will) Vaughn of Madison, WI, Philip Camren of Waukesha, WI, Jennifer Fitch of Minocqua, WI, Nikki (Adam) Carrico of Verona, WI, and Frank (Sarah) Zelinger of Rochester, NY; great grandchildren, Lizzie Fitch, Dominic Mead, Evan and Landon Carrico, and Olivia and Dylan Vaughn; sisters, Doris Kennedy and Ann Fischer, brother John (Nancy) Gorman, sister-in-law Lorraine Dallman, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Virgean was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles (Chuck); brothers Duane Gorman and William Gorman, and great grandson Wyatt Carrico.
Virgean was raised in Halder, WI, graduating from Holy Cross High School in Merrill, WI, where she met and later married Chuck on September 5, 1951. Virgean and Chuck lived many years in Merrill before relocating to Minocqua in June 1970.
Virgean’s true joy in life was her love and devotion to her family. She was well known for her strong will to live a full life and for being a generous and loving mother, grandma, and great grandma. She had a love for knitting, especially knitting baby caps for the newborns at Howard Young Medical Center.
She had a passion for angels and Mom will be our Angel forever.
Funeral Mass for Virgean will be held on Tuesday, December 18th at 11:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodruff, WI with visitation at 10:00 am. Burial will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Woodruff, WI.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial can be made in Virgean’s name to the Ronald McDonald House in Marshfield, WI, HYF Dr Kate Hospice or charity of your choice.
