William J. Beson

William J. "Buzz” Beson, 70, went to his heavenly home with family at his side on September 24, 2015 after a valiant battle with a long illness. His devotion to his family, friends and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Buzz was born to the late Henry and Marcella Beson, in Tomahawk, WI on September 6, 1945. He was a retired member of Ironworker’s Local #8 but as a dedicated Tribal member, continued his passion for service with the Lac du Flambeau Tribe until his passing. He had many interests and hobbies including flying, sailing, diving, construction and mentoring the youth.
Buzz was blessed with a large and loving family and countless friends. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator.
Buzz is survived by his wife, Vickie L. Beson of Lake Tomahawk, WI; his son William R. Beson and wife Alyson M. Beson of Lac du Flambeau, WI, Granddaughters Nicole and Christie Beson of Milwaukee, WI, Step-son Matthew A. Smith and wife Kerry and their children Tiberius and Atticus Smith of California, his sisters Betty Graveen and Bonnie LeSieur of Lac du Flambeau and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Beson and his parents Henry and Marcella Beson.
Services are Monday September 28th at St. Anthony’s Church in Lac du Flambeau and Friday, October 2nd at Eagle Brook Church in Woodruff. Both services will have a gathering / remembrance at 10:00am with service at 11:00am with luncheon afterwards. Pastor Steve Rowe will officiate both services.
