Alethea Kangas

Alethea 'Thea' Kangas, age 84, formerly of Tripoli, passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 at Golden Living Center - Golden Age in Tomahawk. Thea was born March 7, 1926 in Cambridge, England. She married Wilho Kangas on August 4, 1945 in England; he passed away December 28, 1990. Thea was a clerk with the Clifford Co-Op for many years. She enjoyed knitting and watching wildlife, especially birds and deer. Survivors include: Daughter Deborah (Don Burtard) Stade Tripoli Son Paul (Dawn) Kangas Spring Valley Thea is further survived by 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral Services for Thea Kangas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2010 from the Tripoli Log Church. Rev. Larry Mathein will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Somo Cemetery in the Town of Somo.
