Anna Whetstone, age 90, died October 19, 2024 at Friendly Village Nursing Home in Rhinelander. She was born March 15, 1934 in Nappanee, IN and married Samuel Whetstone on June 10, 1960. Together they had 3 children: David, Nancy and Gerald (Gary). She resided in Stratford, WI for 40+ years.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Nancy and son Gary (Pam). Granddaughters Taylor (Jerald) Tice, Tianna (Jon) Phillips, Colleen (Jason) Koranda, Jamie (Brent) Cella. Grandson Matt (Natalie) Ritchie. Great grandchildren: Jayden, Oaklynn, Mallory, Holly, Lennon, Liam, Jace, Grayson, McKenna, Beckham and bonus grandkids Scarlett, Reid and Juniper. Her sister Emma Cobbum, other relatives Joe, Konny (Darvy) Bushman and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was proceeded in death by husband Samuel, son David, grandsons Trai, Jeremy and 11 siblings. The family thanks Friendly Village Memory Care Unit staff for their care and compassion during her final year.
Per Anna’s wishes a private family graveside service will be held.
