Barbara Swanson

Barbara (Wottrich) Swanson, age 77, 2955 Lincoln Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, passed away December 24, 2007 at Eagle Crest Assisted Living Center in Roseville. Barbara was born May 8, 1930 in Milwaukee to Norman and Gladys (Carrick) Bennett. She married Rolland Wottrich on August 12, 1950. He passed away in 1987. She later married John Swanson in July 1990. Barbara had been a Tomahawk resident since 1960, and had been a music teacher for many years. She was a former member and organist for Grace Lutheran Church in Tomahawk for 37 years, and was a former member of the Gray Ladies. Barbara enjoyed spending the past 22 winters in Arizona. Survivors include: Husband John Swanson of Superior 1 Son John (Terri) Wottrich of Roseville, Minnesota 1 Daughter Karen (Dale) Thomas of Kingman, Arizona 2 Step Daughters Vicki (Tony) Garro Julie (John) Sigafus both of Superior Barbara is further survived by 4 grandchildren, many step grandchildren and great step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband - Rollie, an infant son - James, 1 sister - Beverly, and 1 step son - Dennis. Funeral Services for Barbara Swanson will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2007 from Grace Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Rev. Mark Ziemer will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place in the spring at Greenwood Cemetery in Tomahawk.
