Betty Lou (Mustard) Moksnes, 82, died October 27, 2025 surrounded by family, at Select Senior Living Memory Care of Coon Rapids, Minnesota.

Betty was born on August 6, 1943 in Kennan, Wisconsin, the daughter of Earnest Vernon Mustard and Isabel Viola (Scribner) Mustard.

She attended Kennan Grade School and Phillips High School.

On August 13, 1960 Betty was married to Ronald Lee Moksnes. They were married for nearly 60 years and had four children - David, Kim, Trisha and Jason. Betty had 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Betty and Ron moved to Minneapolis soon after their wedding, eventually settling in Rogers and Otsego. Betty worked briefly as a waitress before beginning her career in data operation at Carlson Companies. She worked there for nearly 30 years. Following her retirement Betty worked for several years at plant nurseries.

Betty loved gardening, taking care of the birds, crochet and puzzles. She enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with family. She and Ron loved to travel and camp with family and friends.

Betty is survived by children David (Camille) Moksnes of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, Kim Hunt of Hudson, Wisconsin, Trisha (Scott) Lindrud of Olivia, Minnesota, and Jason Moksnes of St. Cloud, Minnesota; grandchildren Shelby and Steffon Lindrud, Trevor (Jenny Wang), Brandon and Graham (Emily) Hunt, Jeremy (Sarah), Ethan, Toby Moksnes and Xena Moksnes (Andrew) Charbonnet, Katarina Hawver, Riley Hennen, and Devin and Thomas John Moksnes; nine great-grandchildren; and siblings Ruth Thelen and Jane Powers as well as in-laws, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ron, her parents Earnest and Isabel, brother Earnest Mustard, daughter-in-law Teresa Hennen Moksnes, brother-in-law Michael Powers and nephews Shane and Donald John Powers.

A private committal service and cremation burial will be at the Kennan Cemetery in Kennan, Wisconsin Saturday, November 8, 2025. Arrangements are with Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Services of Phillips, Wisconsin.
