Brian C Swanson

Brian “Swanny” Curtis Swanson, age 52, passed away at Seasons of Life Hospice House in Woodruff, WI. He was born on October 11, 1973, in Detroit, MI, to parents Sandra Olexa and Curtis Swanson. He attended West Iron County High School, and worked at Beef A Roo in Iron River, MI.

Swanny collected antiques and coins. He enjoyed yard sales, including having his own garage sale every year. He was passionate about the Lions, he never missed a game or a chance to wear his Lions gear. He also supported the Red Wings and the Tigers, he even got to attend a Tigers game in person once. He loved to spend time gathering with friends and family.

Swanny was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; stepsister: Rebecca Lopez. He is survived by his children: Keischa (Royce) Wayman, Nacole Swanson, Natalie Swanson; grandchildren: Asher, Sebastian, and Roland Wayman; brother: Charles (Annette) Swanson; half-brother: Eric Swanson; half-sisters: Katie Cruz, Rachel Swanson, Micheala Swanson; step sister: Stacy Nelson; step father: Curt Olexa; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A potluck Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Mid City Bar in Caspian, MI, at 4:00pm. Please bring your favorite dish to pass in honor of Swanny.
