Caryl A. Callahan, age 79, of W6748 State Road 86, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter on Sunday, January 6, 2008. Caryl was born on Feb. 4, 1928 in Tomahawk to the late Arthur and Anne Bartz. She was united in marriage on May 19, 1945 to James M. Callahan. He passed away in January of 1998. Caryl had been a cook for many years at Riverview Terrace Nursing Home and the Village Square Restaurant. Caryl was a former member of the Highland Flats Social Club, she was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church and a former member of the Dorcus Society at church. Caryl enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include: 6 Daughters, Joy (Don) Arneson Elaine (William) Steinhafel Jeanine (Dean) Peck Jacky (Chuck) Smith Jill (Patrick) Massa all of Tomahawk Carleen (Jerry) Johnson of Elk Mound, WI 3 Sons, James (Mary Jo) Callahan Wally (Jane) Callahan Marvin (Sue) Callahan all of Tomahawk 1 Brother, Carl Bartz Tomahawk 1 Sister, Marsha (Herbert) Madlung Tomahawk Caryl is further survived by 27 Grandchildren and 30 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jim; one Son, Dave; one Sister; one grandchild and one great grandchild. Funeral Services for Caryl Callahan will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Schoenherr will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in the spring. The family will receive friends at the Krueger & Sons Funeral Home on Friday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
