It is with a devastated heart that I share that my amazing father, Curt, passed away on May 27th.
While the loss is incredibly difficult, I find comfort knowing that my dad has joined my mother at the gates of Heaven. Together, they were two of the most amazing people I have ever known—and truly the best parents and friends that Keith, Kent, and I could have ever asked for.
If you ever met my father, you probably remember his enthusiasm, his huge smile, and the way he made you feel welcome. He loved people, he loved life, and he lived it fully. He worked hard, but he also knew how to have a great time. He taught his three boys so much about family, friendship, hard work, and enjoying the life you’ve been given.
Dad loved Wisconsin and especially the Northwoods. From being one of the Minocqua Bats, serving as fraternity president, and playing college football and basketball, to hunting, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying a good Jack and Coke—Curt was truly full of life.
My brothers, Keith and Kent, and I were incredibly fortunate to have the childhood and upbringing our parents gave us. The older I get, the more I appreciate just how special they were and how much of who we are today came from them.
We will miss Dad more than words can express, but we also want to celebrate the incredible life he lived and the many people whose lives he touched.
Please join us for a Celebration of Life for Curt:
Saturday, August 29th 12:00–3:00 PM CT at The Waters of Minocqua – Banquet Hall
If you are able to join us, please let me know by August 26th. (KenKlade@gmail.com)
We hope you can come raise a glass, share a story, laugh, remember, and help us celebrate an amazing father, friend, and man who truly loved life.
We love you, Dad. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
