David Alan Chase of Phillips, WI passed away at 61 years old on Friday, April 25th, 2025, after an arduous fight with cancer. His parents were the late Rolland and Mary Kay (Anderson) Chase of Phillips, WI. He was born in Libertyville, IL on July 4th, 1963.
He was survived by his daughter, Kelsey Chase, his three sisters: Karen Chase, Kelly Chase, and Kristin Chase Dallas, his good friend and cousin Matthew Bishop, as well as many other family members and friends.
David graduated from Phillips High School with a scholarship from Marquip to attend NTC in Wausau. After graduation he returned to the company as a Sr. Project Designer while continuing an electronic engineering degree with UW.
David had a wide array of interests and hobbies – he loved learning new things, and if something piqued his interest, he would spend lengths of time researching the topic. He made a point of traveling and going on road trips across the country. Several of these trips were made by riding his motorcycle, often side-by-side with his cousin Matthew. He enjoyed recreational shooting, in which he built his own gun range on his property and learned how to reload his own ammo cartridges. He made sure to always have music playing, typically classic rock songs from the 80s. In his younger years you could often find him in one of the local bars singing karaoke after having a few beers with friends.
Not only was David fun to be around, he also was one to take a stand when it came to helping his loved ones. He was one to always provide emotional support to anyone who needed it. He loved life and was not willing to give up living without a fight, despite his cancer diagnosis.
David will be sorrowfully missed by all who loved him. He will be remembered for his strength of character, quick wit, and sense of humor.
