Donald G. Collins, age 81, W6345 W. Kraft Road, Tomahawk, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at his residence.
Don was born May 6, 1933 in Tomahawk, the son of George and Rose (Nibler) Collins. He married Marlene Freuen on May 8, 1952 in Tomahawk; she passed away in 1977. He was later married to Shirley Maki. Don worked for Owens-Illinois/Tomahawk Mill for nearly 50 years, first in the machine room, later as a heavy equipment operator in the yard, and retired as a mechanic. He loved animals, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching Nascar and the Green Bay Packers.

Don is further survived by step children - Willie Maki, Anna "Cookie" Reilly, Yvonne Beres, and Carl Maki, 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and several step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife - Marlene, 1 brother, 1 sister, and 2 grandsons.
Funeral services for Don Collins will be held at 11:00 Am on Monday, October 6, 2014 at the Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. Pastor Larry Mathein will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 Am until the hour of services at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Tomahawk.
