Donald J Foytik
October 19, 1942 — April 8, 2023
On Holy Saturday, April 8th, 2023, the lord took Donald Joseph Foytik home to the holy kingdom. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 19, 1942, to his parents Vincent William Foytik and Helen Marie (Smuha) Foytik. Donald was raised in Phillips, Wisconsin.
Donald was the happiest of men, “always smiling”. His passion, along with his family, was his love of Czech Music – being an accomplished drummer, playing with several bands.
He owned the Deluxe Bakery in Phillips for many years, making delicious goodies for all. Don spent many seasons helping with the Czech Festival, baking, singing and entertaining on his drums.
He is survived by his wife Laura, by sisters Carol, Helen and Susan. Several nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family.
He is predeceased by his daughters Helen, Linda and Stacy. His parents Vincent and Helen Foytik. God Bless him and keep him.
Services will be held at St. Therese of Lisieux, Catholic Church, Phillips, Wisconsin on Friday, May 5th, 2023, at 11:00 am.
