Donald Schultz, 95, Phillips, died on Monday, January 15, 2024, at Rivers Edge Rehabilitation facility at Park Manor, Park Falls, WI. He was born on January 9, 1929, in Janesville, WI, to Paul and Frances (Liesenfelder) Schultz.
Donald was married to Maureen Fletcher on August 16, 1952, in England. They made their home in the United States and Germany while he was serving his country with the United States Air Force. He spent a year of that service in Thailand supporting the Strategic Air Command (SAC) in the Vietnam War They moved to Phillips in 1969, after Donald retired. He was a member of the VFW Post 5778. Don enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking. For over twenty plus years, Don looked forward to his annual fishing trip to Lake of the Woods in Ontairo, Canada, with his friends.
He is survived by his children, Paul (Karen) Schultz, Patty (Dan) Marlenga, Mike (Meredith) Schultz, Donna (Jerry) Hayden, and Linda (Greg) Schultz-Jurena; sister, Ruth (Bill) Studley; brother, Bill (Jean) Schultz; grandchildren, Peter (Anne) Marlenga, Steve (Andrea) Schultz, Jason Schultz, Eric Schultz, Travis Hayden, and Ryan Hayden; and five great-grandchildren.
Donald is preceded in death by his wife, parents, siblings, Leroy Schultz and Delores Terwilliger; and granddaughter, Shelley Marlenga.
A graveside Service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Lakeside II Cemetery, County Road H, Phillips, WI, 54555. Military Honors will be conducted by VFW 5778.Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Phillips. Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home is assisting the family.
