Dorothy Margaret Bordeau

Dorothy Margaret (Greiler) Bordeau, age 86 of Minocqua, WI passed away on February 1, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander,WI. Dorothy was born on August 4, 1930 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Ewend) Greiler.

Dorothy married the lover of her life, Roy on July 9, 1949 at Holy Assumption Church in West Allis, WI. Dorothy was a homemaker until 1971 and started working at Villa Clement Nursing Home until she moved to Minocqua in early 1980. She worked at Howard Young Medical Center as a cook until she retired in 1996.

Dorothy loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved cooking, you never left Dorothy’s house hungry, she always mad enough food to feed an army and then some. She also enjoyed making flower arrangements, gardening, knitting and cake decorating.

Dorothy is survived by her 9 Children: Roy Jr., John (Beverly), Annie, Susan Malloy, Patty (Scott) Kemmerling, Leo (Patty Campbell), Mary (Bob) Hill, Carol (Art Formiller) Ewing and Marcie (David) Haughn and by 15 Grandchildren: Linda (Tom), David (Sara), Laura (Ken), Catherine (Alex), Christopher, Shannon, Leah (Dave), Megan (Nei), James (Christina), Amber (Jay), Stephanie (Jon), John Jr. (Anne), Jesse (Becky), Brian and Matthew (Jamie) and by her Great Grandchildren: Tommy, Jackson, Emrys, Rachel, Quentin, Keira, William, Jay, Liam, Jennifer, John III, Leonora, Skylar and Charlotte. Further survived by her special close friends: The Hebert family, Randy and Kathy Landis, Jon and Carla Mundy, Nancy Herrick, Robin Lewellyn, Dale and Sierra Rausch and Mary Tenpenny.

Special thank you to Ministry Home Health Nurses: Heidi and Jerry, Dr. Schultz, Dr. Lundberg and all the ICU nurses at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander for the loving care of our mom.

Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Pier-Willow with a Memorial Service starting at 2:00 PM.
