Edward Nyberg

Edward (Eddie) M. Nyberg, 41, of Tomahawk, formerly of Madison and San Francisco, died peacefully at home on Sunday, April 6, 2008. He was born on April 4, 1967 in Wausau, son of Edwin and Sally Nyberg. Eddie was employed as a paralegal in California. He was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and AIDS Hospice. One of his greatest accomplishments was restoring and decorating a San Francisco Victorian. He had a talent for turning a house into a home and opening its doors to shelter restless souls looking for a new path in life. His interests included performing theater and listening to music, growing plants and arranging flowers, cooking and watching movies. His ultimate joy was celebrating the Christmas season and making a CD titled, "Eddie's Christmas." Survivors include his parents Edwin and Sally Nyberg; his four brothers Blain (Marie), Beetle (Susan), Bert (Florencia), and Erick (Kay); his two sisters Kristann Hagar and Laura Nyberg-Comins (Mike). Eddie is also survived by his nieces and nephews with whom he shared his passion for life and his sense of humor. They include Ivan, Luke, Paul, Amanda, Angela, and Edwin (Caylin) Nyberg; Zach, Celia, Erica, Nick and Scott Hagar; Adrianna and Garrett Schultz; Daniel McCoy; Kelly and Joey Kapugia. He also has a great nephew and niece, Paul Junior and Aubry Nyberg. Eddie is preceded in death by his grandparents Dude and Celia Thayer, and Bert and Ethel Nyberg. Family members would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Gary Feldman and his staff whose care supported and extended Eddie's life, Hospice Services for excellent care during his final days, the Critter Center Pet Store for providing a Dachshund puppy to comfort him, and all of his San Francisco friends who became his second family. A private service for family and close friends was held at Krueger and Sons Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to Ministry Home Care Hospice Services, 1860 N. Stevens Street. P.O. Box 716, Rhinelander, WI 54501
