Francis "Frank" J. Linnemanstons

Francis “Frank” J. Linnemanstons, 81, a resident of Eagle River, WI, passed away on January 24, 2023.


Frank was born 7/31/1941 in Milwaukee, WI to Leo and Anna (Gross) Linnemanstons. Frank attended Custer High School in Milwaukee where he found success playing football. Later Frank began boxing and won the 1961 Wisconsin Golden Gloves.


On June 1, 1968, Frank married the love of his life, Nancy Kaffine, in Montreal WI.


Frank was a foreman at Inryco Steel in Milwaukee from which he was fortunate enough to retire early. Frank then worked many odd jobs before taking a position at Metro Milwaukee Auto Auction where he made many friends.


Frank and Nancy lived in the Town of Raymond and raised their 3 kids there. Frank loved his hobby farm and raised steers and hogs for his children to show at the Racine County Fair. Frank always enjoyed participating in 4H with his kids, watching them play sports, deer and bird hunting, Marquette basketball, and caring for and teaching his grandchildren.


Frank is survived by his sister Yvonne Werner (Mike Roenneburg), sister in law Pat Linnemanstons, brothers in law Carl Kaffine, Donald (Judy) Kaffine, Lawrence (Mary) Kaffine, children Leo (Lisa) Linnemanstons, Laura (Jim) Rozga, and Karl (Penny) Linnemanstons. Grandchildren, Alex and Anna Linnemanstons and William and Natalie Rozga. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as friends.


Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Nancy, sister and brother in law Janet and Louis Rupar, brother John Linnemanstons and siblings Paul, Barbara, Mary Ann and Lorraine Linnemanstons who did not survive the 1952 polio outbreak. Brother in law and sister in law, Jim and Martha Kaffine, sister in law Geraldine Kaffine, and sister in law Elise Kaffine.


Per Frank’s request, there will be no services. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s cemetery in Hurley WI at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to Seasons of Life Hospice in Woodruff WI.
