FRANK F. MARLENGA
Frank F. Marlenga, 92, Township of Emery, died on Thursday, December 11, 2014, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.
He was born on February 14, 1922, at the family homestead in Emery, the son of Martin and Mary (Balek) Marlenga. He spent his entire life in the Township of Emery. He attended the East Highland School He was married to Dolores Baumruk on September 2, 1950, in Phillips. They celebrated over 64 years of marriage. He was employed at various occupations including farming, a woodworker, a bartender, an employee of Price County Telephone Co., from 1962 to 1965, then at Omark Industries, Prentice from 1965 until the time of his retirement in 1988.
In his free time he enjoyed antique autos, attending car shows, restoring tractors, Polka dancing and was an avid snowmobiler and snow groomer operator in Price County
He was a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council #2963, and the WFLA #236
He is survived by his wife Dolores, Township of Emery, by 3 children: Diane (Mark) Metz, Medford, Daniel (Patty) Marathon, and Jim (Jody) Athens, by 5 grandchildren, by 8 Great Grandchildren, and by 1 sister Ann Onufer, Marshfield
He was preceded in death by his parents, by 4 brothers: Lloyd, Martin, Joe, and John and by 2 sisters: Lillian Golemo and Marie Martz., and 1 granddaughter Shelley Marlenga.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, Phillips, with Fr. Gerald Hagen officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in the spring.
Friends may call on Monday after 4:30 P.M. at the Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, where a K of C service will be held at 7:00P.M and also after 10:00 A./M. on Tuesday at the church until the time of the service.
A memorial Fund has been established.
