Gale Patricia Resech

Gale Patricia Resech, age 73 of Lac Du Flambeau,, WI passed away on Sunday, August 3 rd at her residence under the care of Compassus Hospice.

Gale Patricia Resech was born on January 16, 1952 to Lois (Jensen) and Henry Pernsteiner of Stetsonville, WI.

 Gale was a devoted and loving wife of 55 years to John Patrick Resech.They were married on October 31, 1970 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonville, WI. Together they had two children. A daughter Gwen Marie Resech-Bruegger of Wabasha, MN-married to William J. Bruegger and a son Jon Ryan Resech of Hudson, WI. She has four grandchildren Avery (Chad) Pronschinske of Madison, WI, Gabby (Nicholas) Schwerzel of Menomonie, WI, Ethan (Skye) Marcott of Ogdensburg, WI and Jasmine Marcott of Appleton, WI. She also was blessed with two great grandsons August Pronschinske and Maverick Marcott. 

Gale grew up with three siblings, Jan Brehm of Medford, WI, June (Jeff) Jones of Shelton, WA, and Gary (Linda) Pernsteiner of Medford, WI. She was an aunt, cousin and true dear friend to many. 

Gale was a personal banker for over 30 years and a member of the Lakeland Art League. Her true passion and calling in life was art. From her high school years of making clay pottery and macramé, to rose mauling, acrylic paintings, to beautiful stained-glass windows, cake decorating, and sewing. She then became known for her watercolor paintings, clay and cement sculptured birds, driftwood and cattail art and beautiful jewelry from shells and stones. Her vision and creativity will be sadly missed and her artwork will be forever cherished. 

Gale was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Lois Pernsteiner. 

Memorial Mass for Gale will be held on Thursday, August 14 th at 11:00 am at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lac du Flambeau, WI with a visitation starting at 10:00 am. Burial services will take place at Memorial Cemetery in Lac du Flambeau.
