George Walter Gryglewski, Phillips, WI, passed away June 7th, 2025, at the age of 90. He was born to Stanley and Anna (Onufer) Gryglewski. He lived his entire life on Little Chicago Road in the town of Worcester. He was a lifetime member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, Phillips, WI.
George was a gentle soul and worked many years on his parent’s farm. He maintained an enormous garden, raised chickens and pigeons, and tended many types of flowers and fruiting trees. He made many breakfasts and was instrumental in the raising of his nieces. He loved taking vegetables, flowers and birds to the fair, playing cards, and eating ice cream. He loved all types of farmwork and did everything without complaint. George loved polka music and dancing.
George was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Joseph, a brother-in-law, Harry Podhora, and a niece, Jennifer Podhora. He is survived by his sister Dorothy (Podhora), Phillips, WI, a brother, Thomas (Annette), Waldo, WI, his sister-in-law Judy Gryglewski, St. Louis, MO, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all of the wonderful people at Park Manor in Park Falls for the wonderful care he received the last few years. The sincere love and compassion showed George was a comfort to the entire family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Phillips, WI. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Burial will take place at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Phillip after the service.
