George Haring

George Haring, Sr., age 87, 428 N. 6th Street, Tomahawk, passed away January 7, 2008 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau. George was born May 8, 1920 in Tomahawk to Richard and Pauline (VanStrydonk) Haring. He was married to Ruby Giles; she passed away in 2003. George enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a professional painter for many years. George was a veteran on the U.S. Navy, serving during WWII. Survivors include: 1 Daughter Bonnie Powers of Schenectady, New York 5 Brothers John Haring of Heafford Junction Ted Haring of Harrison Clem (Audrey) Haring Dan Haring Dave (Kathleen) Haring all of Tomahawk. George is further survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral Services for George Haring will be held at Noon on Monday, January 14, 2008 from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Deacon Bernie Lyngdal will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services at Noon. Burial will take place in the spring at Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk.
