Herbert K. Wittka, age 87, N11439 Dereg Road, Tomahawk, passed away June 16, 2008 at Golden Living Center - Golden Age in Tomahawk. Herb was born September 5, 1920 in Germany, the son of Hermann and Augusta Wittka. He married Edna Steinkusch on April 15, 1989 in Las Vegas. Herb was a radio broadcaster for 56 years, and was the host of the Continental Showcase (a German radio program) for WTKM, WMIL, WZER, and WEMP in Milwaukee. He was an Honorary Senator of the Mardi Gras Club in Milwaukee. Herb & Edna moved to Tomahawk in 2004. He loved soccer and music, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include: Wife Edna Wittka Tomahawk 2 Children Bonnie (Gene) Danielson Tomahawk Christine (Berndt) Huber Austria 4 Grandchildren Traci (Justin) Mitchell Erik (Shelley) Danielson Nicole (Jason) Kinkade Stephanie (Tim) Giles Herb is further survived by 6 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial for Herbert Wittka will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 from St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk.
