James Joseph Bacher

James Bacher, age 78, a resident of Catawba, Wisconsin, passed away at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin surrounded by his family on June 17, 2026. He was born February 1, 1948, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to parents John and Geraldine Bacher. Jim attended South Milwaukee High School. He worked as a supervisor at Phillips Plastics and Spears Manufacturing. He married his soulmate Patricia on November 25, 1967, and they spent the next 57 years together with their children and grandchildren. He loved fishing, sports-especially the Brewers and Packers, and watching Jeopardy. Above all he loved the time he got to spend with his family, they were his pride and joy!

Jim was preceded in death by the love of his life Patricia Bacher; brother: John Bacher; nephew: Johnny Bacher; great-granddaughter: Vivian Taylor; grandmother: Elsie Oswald; and his parents John and Geraldine Bacher. He is survived by his daughters: Julie Lenz, Laurie (Jeff) Denny, Jenny (Dave) Kempen; grandchildren: Christopher (Julie) Lenz, Amanda (Aaron) Taylor, Jake (Riley) Denny, Jessie (Jeffrey) Mabie, Madi Kempen, and James Kempen; great grandchildren: Phoenix Franz, Cooper Lenz, Jorun Taylor, Gwenevere Taylor, Shiloh Taylor, Eden Denny, Theodore Taylor, Alexander Taylor, Ridge Mabie, Elsie Denny; sister: Jackie Bacher-Bartulevicius; nieces: Shelly Bacher, Lynda Bacher; nephew: Bobby Bacher; and numerous other family and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 3:00 pm at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Catawba, WI. A gathering will be held from 2:00 pm until the time of the service.
