James "Jim" Arthur Wiedenhoeft

James “Jim” Wiedenhoeft at age 83 passed away on May 2, 2024, of a heart attack at home. He was born on January 7, 1941, in Ashland, WI. The son of Rebecca Annabelle (Griffin) Wiedenhoeft and Arthur Wiedenhoeft. Jim graduated from Glidden High School in 1959. He married Joann DeHarde in 1963. Jim and Joann would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on May 11, 2024. He worked 25 years as produce manager at Roundy’s foods.  He moved to Fresno California in 1985 and opened his own business JW Marketing and distributing of fresh produce in 1988. In 2001 he retired to his beloved Northwoods, now living in Minocqua, WI. Jim enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, and boating. He was an avid golfer. He loved playing all sports, especially baseball and basketball. He loved socializing with his friends. He loved spending time with his family. Jim is survived by his loving wife Joann Wiedenhoeft; his children: Jeffery Wiedenhoeft of Fresno, CA, Jacalyn (fiancé: Daniel Starr) Gaulke of Lac du Flambeau, WI, Jon Wiedenhoeft of Kewaskum, WI; grandchildren: Juliana, Jake, Katelyn (Matt) Musso, James, Taylor, Zakary, Lauren; great grandchild: Eleanor Musso; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his 8-month-old daughter: Jill Marie; parents; sister and brother-in-law: Blondell and Daune Kempf.
