Ogema

James "Jim" Summers, 88, of Ogema, Wisconsin, went home to the Lord on Friday, October 24, 2025, at The Rib Lake Health Services. His wife Joyce was by his side. Jim was born May 26, 1937, in Superior, Wisconsin. He was the only child of James and Lucille Summers. He married Joyce (Peterson) Summers on August 22, 1958. They moved to Minneapolis where Jim worked as a parts manager for Bemis Packaging Company and raised his family. He retired in 1984 and moved to Ogema where he and Joyce ran Summers' Grocery. He loved staying busy. He enjoyed cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in the winter and working part-time in construction and fishing in the summer. He especially enjoyed the trips to Rushing Wind in Canada with his buddies, "The Dons," Don Pearson and Don Stelzer. He is survived by his wife, Joyce, son, Charles Summers of LaCrosse, WI, and daughters, Cheryl Koppel of Durham, NC, Tracy Bibelnieks (Eric) of Duluth, MN, and Pam Hooten of Rutledge, GA, and his grandchildren, Alex Summers, Elianna, Manny, and Elias Bier, and Andris, Karl, and Eric Bibelnieks.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Ogema Baptist Church in Ogema, WI. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the time of the service. A Graveside service will be held at 2:15 pm at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Ogema.
