Jeanne R. Kirchmeyer

Jeanne R. Kirchmeyer, 89, of Phillips, WI, died peacefully on April 30, 2023, under the care of Home Health & Hospice MMC - Park Falls, at the Aspirus Regency House. Jeanne was born on April 8, 1934, in Phillips, WI, to Levi and Minnie (Frisk) Cummings. 

She graduated from Prentice High School. Jeanne married Russell Kirchmeyer on September 8, 1952, and they raised 4 children. She was a proud homemaker and dairy farmer. She loved animals and gardening - she was known for growing African Violets. Jean and Russell ran a home with open arms, which lead them to owning and operating East Highland Bed and Breakfast. Jeanne was involved with many historical societies, enjoyed collecting antiques, and taking care of the flowers at the concrete park. She was the best cook and loved family dinners. Anyone was invited to the dinners, especially around the holiday times. 

She is survived by her children, Raymond (Patricia), Richard (Tonya), Ruth (Russell) Schilling, and Roy (Robin); grandchildren, Josephine (Garrett) Peters, Jeremiah (Kari), and Charles, Mitchel (Katie), Kelly (Dan) Schulte, Nicholas and Steven (Arlette) Schilling, Amy (Paul) Kinsey, Logan (fiancee, Katie) and Sawyer; 15 great-grandchildren with one on the way; siblings, Jack (Carol) Cummings, Bonnie (Clarence) Uhren, and Michael (Robert) Cummings; sister-in-law, Carol Zellinger; and special friend, the Bob Stanke family; many other loved nieces, nephews, family, and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her husband; brothers, David and Allen; sisters-in-law, Sharon, Virginia, Annette, and Gerry; brothers-in-law, Frank Jr and Laddie; and her parents.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home, 284 Chestnut Street, Phillips, WI, 54555. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Emery Cemetery, Emery, WI.
