Joan Patricia Schallock

Joan “Joanie” Patricia Schallock, age 84, a resident of Woodruff, WI, passed away August 15, 2025, at Seasons of Life Hospice House. She was born on March 25, 1941, in Milwaukee, WI, to parents Harry and Laura Schweitzer. She graduated from South Division and worked at CD Baird in Milwaukee. She met the love of her life James “Jim” Schallock and married him on January 12, 1963.

Joanie loved watching her favorite teams, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers. She enjoyed bowling, softball, Bingo, drawing, and time at the casino. Above all she cherished spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Joanie was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter: Danean Girtler; sister: Rose Siskoy; brother: Harry “Sonny” Schweitzer. She is survived by her daughters: Brenda Schallock, Theresa (Ervin) Williams; grandchildren: Jacqueline (David) Koppa, Jonathan Williams, Tucker Schallock; great grandchildren: Finley, Olivia, and Liam Koppa; siblings: Laverne “Sissy” Knipple, Jeanette Blawat, Diane Schweitzer; many other family and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held Friday, August 29, 2025, from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon, at Nimsgern Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Joanie’s honor can be made to Seasons of Life Hospice in Woodruff, WI.
