John "Jack" A. Engberg

John “Jack” Alfred Engberg, 81, of Arbor Vitae, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024 at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital.  Jack was born May 27th, 1942 in Ramsay, Michigan the son of Willard and Ethel (Mooney) Engberg.  Jack was married to the love of his life Bonnie Kay Peterson on October 26th, 1964.  She preceded him in death on October 30th, 2014.

 

Jack was a devoted husband and father.  He made many great friends in his journey through life.  His humor and kindness will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Jack loved to play golf.  One of his favorite moments was his 2 holes in one at Inshalla CC in Tomahawk.  He was also a tremendous bowler for many years.  His accomplishments include rolling perfect 300 games. Jack also served in the Army National Guard.

 

Jack is survived by his brother, Jim (Marge) Engberg of Hurley, and daughter, Kris Engberg; his son, Don Engberg of Arbor Vita; his daughter, Jackie (Marc) Alexander of Three Lakes; 5 grandchildren, Megan Engberg, Dalton (Teresa) Alexander, MacKenzie (Gary Garand) Alexander, Khale (Crista) Alexander and Sierra (Carson Sillars) Alexander; 5 great grandchildren, Logan and Lexi Alexander, Liam Alexander and Jack and Norah Alexander.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Ethel Engberg.

 

Honoring Jack’s wishes no services will be held.
