John "Jack" Literski, age 88, 2000 The Point Road East, Tomahawk, passed away October 20, 2008 at Golden Living Center - Golden Age in Tomahawk.
Jack was born March 8, 1920 in Athens, the son of John and Angeline (Writz) Literski, Sr. He married Marcella Nowicki on June 27, 1951 in Poniatowski. Jack was a dairy farmer and logger before moving to Tomahawk in 1977. He was then employed with Owens-Illinois for 8 years until retiring in 1985. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tomahawk.

Jack was preceded in death by 5 brothers - Frank, Joseph, Alois, Leo, and Edmund Literski, 1 sister - Mary Nowicki, and 1 grandson - Travis Schreiner.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jack Literski will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2008 from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson and Fr. Edward Powell will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk.
Memorials are appreciated to St. Mary's Catholic School in Tomahawk. Jack will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and neighbors.
